About the Mission · A personal story

What I've lived shaped how I show up.

Community Soul Mission didn't start as a marketing idea. It grew out of my own life and a belief that being seen, supported, and given an opportunity can change someone's path.

WHY THIS MATTERS TO ME

I'm Chrissy Moe. I grew up in and out of foster care, experiencing homelessness, instability, and constant moves. By seventh grade, I had attended 13 different schools. I became pregnant at 16, and by 17, with only a seventh-grade education, I had given birth to my first daughter. I know firsthand what it means to grow up without stability while trying to create a different future for my child and myself.

Those experiences are part of why I care so deeply about children and young people who need someone in their corner. I can't change every circumstance, but I can use the relationships, resources, and opportunities I've built to help create more support for others.

THE BEGINNING OF MY STORY

These aren't just old photographs. They're where my purpose began.

At 16, I became pregnant. In and out of foster care throughout childhood, I was already learning what it meant to live without stability. Just after my seventeenth birthday, I was expecting my daughter. At 18, I was holding her on my hip as I celebrated another birthday. When we moved into subsidized housing after foster care, we started with very little.

I had just turned 17 when my pregnancy photograph was taken. I was growing up while preparing to raise a child of my own.

THE HEART BEHIND THE MISSION

“Together we are the Solution.”

Not because any one of us has all the answers, but because showing up for one another is where change begins.

WHY I STARTED GIVING BACK

From finding my way to making a way for others.

Real estate gave me a career built on relationships, advocacy, and guiding people through major decisions. As my business grew, I wanted that work to mean something beyond a transaction.

Community Soul Mission is the community outreach branch of Real Estate with Soul—not a nonprofit. It brings together three parts of how I give back: connecting local businesses and neighbors through our annual fundraiser for Bridge the Gap; introducing people to the businesses and owners in our community through Community Soul collaborations; and donating my time, including service with Bridge the Gap and offering breathwork and somatic services to 4D Recovery and other community efforts.

This isn't about asking the community to support my business. It's about using what I have to support the community.

THE THREE WAYS I SHOW UP

One outreach mission. Three ways to connect and give.

Community Soul Mission is my community outreach branch, not a separately incorporated nonprofit. I bring together local connections, fundraising and hands-on service.

01 / FUNDRAISING

Supporting children in foster care.

My annual fundraiser brings community businesses and neighbors together to raise money for Bridge the Gap, supporting children in foster care.

02 / COMMUNITY COLLABORATIONS

Connecting neighbors and local businesses.

My collaborations introduce the people behind local businesses to the communities they serve. These partnerships also connect businesses and neighbors so we can help people in need.

03 / DONATING MY TIME

Hands-on help.

I donate my time through service with Bridge the Gap, offering breathwork and somatic services to 4D Recovery, and participating in other community efforts.

A PERSONAL COMMITMENT

My past is part of my story. What I do with it matters more.

I believe people deserve compassion, dignity, and opportunities to thrive. I especially want young people facing instability to know that their present circumstances do not have to define their futures.

I'm grateful for every neighbor, donor, business owner, and volunteer who chooses to be part of this work. Together, we can create more moments of support and possibility.
