The English Family, of English Estate Winery, has been farming for 119 years, since 1903, in Vancouver, WA.
English Estate Winery has been working on their land for five generations.
English Estate Winery is interested in what they can grow and create right here on their own farm. Ninety-nine percent of the fruit used in their wines comes from the twelve acres that surround the 1915 barn.
Their grandson and great-grandson, Carl D. English, started growing wine grapes and making wine in 1980. The winery opened its doors to the public two decades later.

Poppy & Hawk
Poppy & Hawk is the inspiration of Lori Cano. Her mother had a special nickname for Lori: POPPY. “Poppy” was born out of her mother’s love for the bright, colorful flower as well as the fact that it represented the birth month that she and Lori shared, August.
After both Lori’s mother passed, she started to see hawks on a daily basis. This was when she began to view the HAWK as her protector. The poppy and the hawk became symbols of comfort, strength, and peace; Lori wanted to share these traits with everyone around her!
Lori is a New Mexican native, she has called southwest Washington home for twenty-two years. A culinary chef by trade, she has a passion for New Mexican cuisine and culture. Out of a desire to showcase Lori’s love for the food, nature, and art of both the Pacific Northwest and the High Desert Southwest, Poppy & Hawk was born.

FluffyWeight
I created FluffyWeight to help my own children manage sensory processing issues. Our occupational therapist recommended a weighted stuffed animal as a natural way to help improve focus, calm anxiety, and regulate mood. As an ADHD mom myself, I loved my weighted blanket, and knew first-hand the therapeutic calming benefits of weight.
There was just one problem.
There weren’t any weighted stuffies on the market that my children actually liked. They all felt so cold and sterile – more like a tool than a toy.
Why couldn’t a therapeutic weighted stuffed animal be just as lovable as the dozens of stuffed animals they already owned?
The animals available were either not cute or soft enough, awkward to hold, or just unsatisfying to hug. A practical mom, I knew if my kids didn’t love it, they wouldn’t use it, and it would just be a big waste of money.
So, I made my own.
I created and tested prototypes with dozens of kids in their homes. These kids tested different materials, sizes, filling types, and densities until we landed on a unanimous winner.-Elena, founder of FluffyWeight
